The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity to join our existing team as a Production Operator. Working in our Dalbeattie Sawmill you will be contributing towards the creation of quality timber products - on time and to specification.
Specifically, some responsibilities of a Production Operator may include:
- Manual handling of timber.
- Operating state of the art sawmilling machinery.
- Operation of Mobile Plant Vehicles.
- Working towards set production targets.
- Upholding the appropriate Health & Safety practices.
About you: No experience is necessary as full training will be provided however you will need to be motivated, hardworking and quality focused. A degree of flexibility will be required to ensure operations are maximised, maintained and quality targets are met with minimum wastage. In addition, you will have:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- An appreciation of quality and Health & Safety.
- Willingness to undertake all relevant training required to fulfil the role.
- Experience within a manufacturing, or similar production environment, would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Ideally, successful candidates will hold a Full Drivers Licence, however this is not essential.
