Contract: Full time, Permanent Rotating Shifts 24/7 (42 Average hours p/w). Working alongside a team of Engineers, under the leadership of our Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing a prompt and responsive fault diagnosis and repair service throughout the sawmill and undertaking routine electrical maintenance across a range of plant and machinery.
Specifically, some responsibilities of a Shift Electrician include:
- Troubleshooting and testing equipment, controls, and software.
- Repairing Mechanical, Pneumatic and Electromechanical Machinery.
- Undertaking a variety of preventative and reactive maintenance duties.
- Installation of machine parts such as valves, pumps, and motors.
- Carrying out planned maintenance checks, finding and fixing any faults.
Alongside your solid background in electrical engineering, preferably gained within a manufacturing environment, you are confident in working alone or alongside a team. You should have a good understanding of computer-based systems and software, and experience of PLC systems.
