The job opportunity:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll enjoy direct responsibility for both day-to-day and longer-term provision of electrical engineering maintenance at Dalbeattie sawmill. Specifically, this will involve

  • Working closely with the shift teams to deliver the weekly preventative maintenance plan.
  • The provision of technical support and ongoing development of our preventative maintenance system to improve and increase plant uptime.
  • Active involvement in contractor management and small projects, as well as critical spares provision, the roll out of lean systems and ‘out of hours’ response as required.

About you:

As the Engineering Supervisor, you should have relevant experience and must

hold C&G 17th or 18th Edition IEE Regulations qualifications or equivalent with experience of PLC Systems, as well as:

  • Have hands on experience of electrical maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Be capable of applying your problem-solving skills and knowledge of continuous improvement to good effect, especially in the areas of repetitive breakdown.
  • Be computer literate and have first rate organisation, communication and influencing skills.
  • Be able to consistently deliver when working under pressure, as well as being committed to both individual and team successes.
