The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
This role will be responsible for the supervision of a team of FLT drivers to ensure the smooth running of the yard
loading/unloading process ensuring all timber and products are loaded/unloaded to the required specifications on target and to
required deadlines. You must ensure that all direct staff comply with the Company’s Health and Safety procedures and ensure all
the yard team adheres to company H&S procedures with regards to PPE, accident/incident reporting etc.
You will take full responsibility of the yard in terms of management of staff, management of loading/unloading and quality targets
and to ensure the smooth running of the yard processes. You will also be leading start of shift meetings as appropriate with your
team. You will also ensure all yard employees adhere to company Quality procedures and processes, enforcing the discipline needed
to help achieve this.
You will play a key part in consistently promoting high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that
each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them. You will be expected to contribute to new
business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on manufacturing activities as well as actively
participating in continuous improvement activities.
As a Yard Team Leader, you will be focused and target driven, have excellent supervisory skills and be competent in problem
solving, team building, planning and decision making. A positive can-do attitude, high attention to detail and excellent
organisational and follow up skills are the key to success.
