  • Stockyard Operator
  • Based at Dalbeattie, DG5 4PL
  • Monday – Friday 42.5 hours day shift only
  • £12.76 - £14.25 depending on shifts & Experience
  • Full-Time/Permanent

Based at our Dalbeattie sawmill, you will be responsible for a variety of duties across the Sawn Timber Stock Yard, working within a team and individually to ensure we fulfil customer orders accurately and to deadline.

Specifically, some responsibilities of a Stockyard Operator include

  • General housekeeping of Stock Yard.
  • Part of a fast-moving Despatch / Loading team.
  • General maintenance of main routes on site for traffic/people movement.
  • Driving heavy mobile plant.

About you

We are seeking an attentive and organised individual who is quality focused, can work to meet deadlines and understands the value of the goods they are working with.

In addition, you’ll have

  • Experience using heavy mobile plant would be preferred but is not essential as full training can be provided.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Be flexible and work well as part of a small team.
  • A high level of organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Appreciation of quality and Health & Safety.
  • Full Drivers Licence.
