The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.

We are currently recruiting for Mobile Plant Operators to join our team within our Sawn Timber Yard at our Carlisle mill. As a Mobile Plant Operator, you will be responsible for a variety of duties across the yard, working both within a team and individually.

Specifically, some responsibilities of a Mobile Plant / FLT Operator may include:

  • Movement of sawn timber from sawmill to stock locations around the site.
  • Operation of a Side Loader FLT & other mobile plant vehicles.
  • Scanning timber packs to determine stock and log positions.

We are looking for motivated and hardworking individuals who are focused and have the ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • An appreciation of quality and Health & Safety.
  • Willingness to undertake all relevant training required to fulfil the role.
  • Experience operating mobile plant would be preferred but is not essential as full training is provided.
  • Experience within a manufacturing or similar production environment would be advantageous.
  • Full driving license.
