Due to our continued and exciting growth, we are looking to recruit a Production Operator to join our workforce across the BSW Timber site in Corpach, Fort William.
Some responsibilities of a Production Operator may include
As a Production Operative, you’ll enjoy a variety of duties ranging from manual handling of timber to operating state of art sawmilling machinery.
Working towards set production targets, whatever duty you’re assigned we’ll expect you to contribute to the creation of quality timber products – on time and to specification – whilst following appropriate health & safety practices.
- Manual Handling of timber.
- Operating state of the art sawmilling equipment.
- Working towards and maintaining set production targets.
- Upholding the appropriate Health & Safety practices across the site.
- Operating mobile plant machinery.
About you
Ideally, we’re seeking a motivated individual who is quality focused and understands the value of the goods they are producing.
A degree of flexibility will be required to ensure operations are maximised, maintained, and quality targets are met with minimum wastage.
You will be self-motivated, have a can-do attitude and be willing to undertake all relevant training required to fulfil the role.
In addition, you will have
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- An appreciation of quality and Health & Safety.
- Willingness to undertake all relevant training required to fulfil the role.
- Experience within a manufacturing, or similar production environment, would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
