An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll & HR Administrator to join the HR Shared Services team at our Head Office in Dunfermline. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will provide vital administrative support across the entire employee lifecycle. We are looking for a customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses sharp attention to detail, and excels at resolving queries swiftly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • First Point of Contact: Serve as the primary contact for HR Business Partners, Line Managers, and Site Managers regarding core HR administration and daily queries.
  • Payroll Processing: Handle end-to-end payroll processing, with a focus on hourly paid employees, ensuring absolute accuracy and compliance.
  • Lifecycle Administration: Manage all administrative processes for new starters and leavers, including updating HR systems, employee databases, and managing multiple high volume HR and payroll mailboxes.
  • Data Integrity & Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality while managing sensitive employee data and ensuring records are kept up to date.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience: Minimum of one year of dedicated HR or Payroll Administration experience is essential. Experience working with hourly paid workforces is highly desirable.
  • Deadline-Driven: Proven ability to work under pressure and adapt to strict, fast-changing payroll deadlines.
  • Communication & Discretion: Confident communication skills with the ability to handle highly confidential information with tact and professionalism.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in all Microsoft Office programmes (Excel, Word, Outlook) with strong data-entry accuracy.
  • Advantageous Knowledge: A foundational understanding of basic UK employment law and core HR/payroll practices is a distinct plus.
