We are currently recruiting for a Production Operator to join our team within our Added Value Department at our Carlisle mill.
As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for a variety of duties across the Department, working within a team and individually.
Specifically, some responsibilities of a Production Operator include
- Manual handling of timber.
- Operating semi-automated machine centres.
- Working towards set production targets.
- Upholding the appropriate Health & Safety practices.
About you
Ideally, we’re seeking motivated individuals who are quality focused and understand the value of the goods they are producing.
A degree of flexibility will be required to ensure operations are maximised, maintained and quality targets are met with minimum wastage.
In addition, you will have
- Good computer, numeracy, and literacy skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A self-motivated and can-do attitude.
- Appreciation of quality and Health & Safety.
- Willingness to undertake all relevant training required to fulfil the role.
- Experience within a manufacturing, or similar production environment, would be advantageous.
