A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a General Operative to join our Reconditioned team at our Bathgate site. This role will be responsible for safely and accurately sorting, repairing and manufacturing pallets in a timely manner, using the tools and equipment provided, ensuring that you work at your optimum level to maximise your output and quality of the products in line with the required specification.
You will be responsible for working effectively to ensure that workstations are set up to be efficient, and a continuous high level of output is maintained during each shift, and ensure your tools & equipment are safe to use at all times by completing all relevant checks and reporting any defects. You will undertake all tasks that are delegated to you by Supervisors and Managers on site.
A General Operative is a multi-skilled role. You may also be painting/labelling/stenciling pallets, offloading lengths of timber off the saws and general cleaning and housekeeping duties to support the manufacture of pallets/wood products in a timely manner.
You will play a key part in the team to adhere to our Health and Safety Procedures and Policies to maintain the required high safety standards, which includes wearing your Personal Protective Equipment when stipulated. You will act as a key member of the Scott Pallets team and demonstrate the company values when dealing with all internal and external stakeholders. You must be punctual and follow the company attendance procedure.
As a General Operative, you will work effectively with others, have excellent time keeping, be a team player and understand the wider site processes to support when able to do so. A can-do attitude and excellent attention to detail are key to success.
