An established Birmingham-based design consultancy is looking for an Intermediate to Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join its team. This is a delivery-focused role, with approximately 90% of projects centred on detailed design work for contractor-led schemes. The successful candidate will be heavily involved in producing technical design packages and supporting projects through construction. Due to the collaborative nature of the work with contractors, this would predominantly be office based, along with regular site attendance. This position would suit someone who enjoys hands-on technical delivery, resolving buildability challenges, and being actively involved in live project environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed electrical design packages for contractor delivery
  • Develop construction drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
  • Carry out load calculations, cable sizing, and system design
