Fire engineering isn't just about compliance; it's about making sure buildings work safely in the real world. We're looking for a Fire Engineer to join a multidisciplinary design team. From day one, you'll be embedded in live projects, working alongside architects, clients, and wider project teams to help shape practical, buildable fire strategies. You'll be involved in a genuinely diverse portfolio, from Formula 1 facilities and heritage museum projects to university frameworks and complex historic residential buildings. This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, values collaboration, and wants to see their work make a tangible impact on real projects.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the development of fire strategies across a range of projects
  • Undertaking fire engineering analysis, calculations, and technical reporting
  • Working closely with architects, design teams, and clients to influence design decisions
  • Attending project meetings and contributing to technical discussions
  • Supporting delivery of projects to programme and budget
  • Building an understanding of how fire engineering integrates with wider project delivery

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with a background in fire engineering (or a closely related STEM discipline) who is keen to develop their career in a consultancy environment. You'll likely be someone who:

  • Applies engineering thinking to real-world problems
  • Wants to be actively involved in projects, not just isolated technical tasks
  • Communicates clearly and contributes confidently within team environments

Skills & Experience

  • A relevant degree (Fire Engineering or STEM discipline)
  • Working knowledge of UK fire safety design guidance (e.g. BS 9991, BS 9999, Approved Document B) and how they are applied in practice
  • An interest in working toward professional registration (IFE or equivalent)

Why Join?

  • Be part of the design team from day one, not just a reviewer
  • Work on high-profile and technically interesting projects
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams
  • Develop practical, real-world engineering expertise
