Junior Electrical Design Engineer
Your Opportunity
We are looking for a
Junior Electrical Design Engineer
to join our growing engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and motivated engineer at the early stage of their career to develop their technical skills within a supportive consultancy environment.

Youll work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to a variety of building services projects, gaining valuable experience across the full design process.

From the outset, youll have the opportunity to get involved in real projects, develop your understanding of electrical building services and build the skills needed to progress your career within the industry.

What Youll Do
Assist with the design and development of electrical building services systems.

Support senior engineers with calculations, technical reports and design documentation.

Produce and develop electrical drawings and schematics using appropriate design software.

Assist with electrical load assessments, lighting calculations and equipment selection.

Support the development of specifications, schedules and other technical documentation.

Attend project meetings and contribute to design discussions.

Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors and other members of the project team.

Carry out site visits and assist with surveys where required.

Develop an understanding of relevant British Standards, Building Regulations and industry guidance.

Help ensure projects are delivered to programme, budget and the required technical standards.

What Youll Need
Were looking for someone who is enthusiastic about electrical engineering and keen to develop their career within a building services consultancy.

Youll ideally have: A degree, HNC/HND or other relevant qualification in
Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline .

An interest in electrical building services design and the built environment.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

A willingness to learn and develop your technical knowledge.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.

An interest in developing towards professional registration with
CIBSE, IET or an equivalent professional body .

Previous experience within a building services consultancy would be advantageous, but we are also keen to hear from graduates and candidates at the beginning of their engineering careers.
