The Role
We are seeking an Electrical Building Services Design Engineer to join our team in Port Talbot. You will be involved in the design and delivery of electrical systems across a wide range of projects, from concept through to construction. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will produce coordinated, compliant, and high-quality designs using modern digital tools and BIM workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarms, and earthing
- Produce calculations, reports, and specifications (BS 7671 and relevant standards)
- Develop drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver integrated designs
- Support projects through all design stages and during construction
About You
Essential:
- Experience in electrical building services design
- Knowledge of BS 7671 and Building Regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Strong coordination and communication skills
Desirable:
- Revit MEP and BIM experience (ISO 19650)
- Working toward or member of IET/CIBSE
- Interest in sustainable and low-carbon design
