My client is a well-established engineering consultancy who is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its building services team.
The Role
- You will be responsible for delivering mechanical building services design across a range of projects.
- The company is looking for someone who can be trusted with projects, manage their workload, and drive designs forward with minimal supervision.
- Mechanical design of building services systems including HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, and domestic water services.
- Producing calculations, specifications, reports, and technical drawings.
- Managing and delivering projects or project packages from concept through to completion.
- Liaising with clients, architects, and other design team members.
- Attending design meetings and site visits where required.
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and best practice.
- Coordinating with electrical and other disciplines to ensure integrated design delivery.
Requirements
- Experience in mechanical building services design.
- Ability to run projects or work packages independently.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and building services design principles.
- Experience with industry software such as AutoCAD, Revit, IES, Hevacomp, or similar.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
