The UK is rapidly transitioning to low-carbon energy, with heat networks playing a key role in achieving net-zero targets. With growing demand and new regulatory standards under the Heat Network Technical Assurance Scheme (HNTAS), this is a fast-evolving and high-impact sector.
We are seeking a Heat Networks Engineer to join our London team. This is a hands-on role where you will support the design, delivery, and performance of high-quality, compliant heat network systems, while working closely with senior engineers and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver new and existing heat network systems, optimising performance and efficiency
- Review designs, monitor installations on-site, and support testing and commissioning
- Carry out performance monitoring and optimisation studies
- Troubleshoot issues and recommend improvements for existing systems
- Support funding applications for government schemes (e.g. HNES)
- Contribute to internal standards, tools, and best practices
- Mentor and support junior engineers
You are a motivated mechanical or building services engineer with a strong interest in heat networks and decarbonisation. You enjoy working collaboratively and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
You will have:
- Experience in heating systems and heat network design
- Site inspection and project delivery experience
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Chartered status (or working towards it)
You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive consultancy environment focused on sustainability and innovation in the built environment.
