The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for leading electrical design delivery, managing and mentoring junior staff, and undertaking project management and administrative duties. The role includes responsibility for monitoring design team costs in line with agreed programs and budgets. This position suits an ambitious, self-motivated team player with experience in a consultancy environment, ideally where both technical design and team management responsibilities are required. The successful candidate will be capable of delivering electrical designs from concept through to completion, including specifications, drawings, schedules, and cost estimates, while maintaining strong client relationships and supporting internal team members.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Deliver electrical design and project management services across a range of project types
- Manage and support the electrical design team, providing technical guidance and leadership
- Liaise directly with clients and attend project meetings
- Support business development and help maintain and expand the client base
- Carry out site surveys and produce technical reports
- Undertake quality inspections and ensure design compliance
