The company: Our client in Central London is looking for a MEP Guardian in London and they do work on some great projects in London and around. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled MEP Engineer with broad experience across building services systems to make a meaningful impact on the performance and quality of MEP installations. They are especially interested in candidates with strong site-based experience ideally gained with a main contractor who are eager to deepen their expertise and help shape the buildings of the future. About the Role: They have established strong partnerships particularly in the residential sector and are now expanding our specialist MEP Guardian services. We are seeking someone who can help broaden our capabilities and reach new clients. Your contribution will be central to that growth. Based in the London office, you’ll join a collaborative and dynamic team delivering high-impact, hands-on work. The role focuses on MEP monitoring and technical assurance, supporting the sector lead across current and upcoming projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- MEP Installation Monitoring / Guardian Duties
- Conduct design reviews and assess contractor information
- Perform on-site installation monitoring
- Carry out witnessing and acceptance testing
- Ensure quality, compliance, and technical excellence
- Analyse and improve existing installations
- Enhance efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- Demonstrate compliance with relevant standards
About You: You’re excited to play a key role in a rapidly expanding service area. You bring broad experience across multiple MEP systems and are comfortable with both detailed design assessment and hands-on site inspection and troubleshooting. You may be:
- A Senior MEP Engineer
- An Intermediate Engineer ready to step up
- An MEP Coordinator with contractor-side experience looking to broaden your horizons
You’ll be confident representing the practice on site, writing clear and well-structured reports, and working collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and contractors. You should also bring:
- Chartered status or active progression towards it
- Strong understanding of site-based realities
- Experience inspecting MEP installations
- Excellent written communication skills
- Confidence presenting and engaging professionally with stakeholders
