You will work on some of the most prestigious projects in the UK and internationally, designing architectural lighting and daylighting schemes across a diverse portfolio that includes arts and culture, sports, workplaces and education.
The role will involve leading lighting projects from concept through to delivery, supervising and mentoring graduates, and contributing to job-winning and marketing activities. You will be encouraged to think about buildings in an integrated way, considering both natural and artificial light alongside energy performance and sustainability. This integrated approach allows us to solve problems that more conventional methods may overlook. It is a collaborative, creative and deeply rewarding way to work.
The Light Air group was born from a desire to combine the ideas, inventions and curiosities continuously explored through project work. The team is made up of inventors, researchers and scientists specialising in lighting, supported by a wider community of engineers and technical experts. Recent lighting projects include major cultural, educational and civic buildings, such as concert halls, galleries, libraries and theatres in the UK and internationally.

- A relevant degree (minimum 2:2 or equivalent)
You are curious, ambitious and motivated to push boundaries creating buildings that are more beautiful, perform better and use less energy.
Sustainability is embedded in everyday practice, shaping both design decisions and professional culture. You will play a vital role in delivering lighting schemes that balance environmental responsibility with design excellence, ensuring projects contribute positively to the built environment. The practice is employee-owned and committed to leading the industry in responding to the climate and biodiversity crises.
