We are looking for an Entry Level BIM Technician to join the team and support the delivery of construction and engineering projects. You will work alongside engineers, designers, and BIM coordinators to help produce drawings, 3D models, and project information using BIM software. This role is suitable for someone starting out in BIM, CAD, engineering, or construction who is keen to learn and develop technical skills.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist with creating and updating 2D drawings and 3D BIM models
- Support MEP, Structural, or Civil project teams
- Help maintain organised project files and documentation
- Produce drawing sheets, schedules, and model information
- Assist with clash detection and coordination tasks
- Work with engineers and designers to make model updates
- Follow company BIM standards and project requirements
- Attend team and coordination meetings when required
Skills & Experience
- Basic knowledge of BIM or CAD software
- Familiar with: Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks
- Good attention to detail
- Willing to learn and develop new skills
- Able to work as part of a team
- Basic understanding of engineering or construction drawings
Qualifications
- College course, HNC/HND, apprenticeship, or degree in:
- Engineering
- Construction
- Architecture
- CAD/BIM
- Building Services
Desirable
- Knowledge of BIM processes
- Experience from college projects or work placement
- Understanding of MEP, structural, or civil design
- Civil 3D or Tekla experience is a bonus
