Experienced Diesel Plant Fitter Mechanic Required – Full Time construction company based in St Albans seeking an experienced Plant Fitter Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis.
Role Overview: You will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a large fleet of modern plant machinery, including:
- Hitachi & Kobelco tracked excavators (3 to 30 tonnes)
- Dumpers (2 to 9 tonnes)
The role will involve both workshop-based maintenance and attending site breakdowns when required.
Duties Include:
- Engine repairs and servicing
- Tracks and undercarriage work
- Hydraulics and rams
- General plant maintenance and diagnostics
All machinery is modern (typically 2–3 years old), and the fleet is well maintained and up to date.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter/Mechanic
- Strong track record with previous employers
- Full, clean UK driving licence
