Our programmes combine English language learning with 21st-century skills such as communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, helping students grow socially, culturally, and personally.

We are seeking a dynamic Summer Activities Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of our exciting leisure, excursion, and events programme. You will manage a team of Activities Leaders, ensuring students enjoy a varied, safe, and engaging experience while maintaining exceptional leisure programme standards. The role reports to the Centre Manager and involves supervising activity staff, overseeing schedules, managing logistics, and ensuring all activities meet safety and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design a creative programme of sports, activities, and social events that reflects BSS standards and delivers a memorable student experience.
  • Ensure session plans are detailed, risk-assessed, and logistically prepared.
  • Lead, motivate, and monitor Activities Leaders and Assistants, providing feedback and professional development.
  • Coordinate excursions and off-site trips, ensuring they provide meaningful cultural and educational experiences.
  • Manage transport bookings and logistics for trips and activities.
  • Maintain and review risk assessments with relevant staff.
  • Promote student wellbeing and positive behaviour, working closely with the Welfare team.

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong organisational and programme-management skills
  • Confident leadership and team supervision experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Knowledge of health & safety and risk assessment procedures
  • Experience in summer schools, education, recreation, or events (preferred)
