We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Coder/Code Reader to join our client's GP practice in Hounslow. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficient management of patient records and ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and code incoming clinical correspondence using SystmOne
- Enter pertinent information into patients' electronic medical records
- Highlight actions for clinicians and workflow to appropriate team members
- Organise medical records, linking problem titles and ensuring accuracy
- Contact patients to action requests, such as booking blood tests or appointments
- Maintain compliance with coding protocols and QOF requirements
Essential Requirements:
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly SystmOne
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of medical terminology and NHS coding practices (1 year of experience minimum)
