We are seeking a Practice Nurse with one year of experience to join our team near Nine Elms Underground Station. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive care in all areas of General Practice Nursing.

Key Requirements:

  • General Practice Experience: One year of experience required
  • NMC Registration: Must be a registered General Nurse with full NMC registration
  • Qualifications and Certificates: Preferred qualifications include Diabetic Check, Medication Review, Child Immunisation & Travel immunisation, Cervical Smear, COPD review, Spirometry, Ear syringing, and administration of Flu/Pnuemo/B12/Covid injections, Zoladex/Prostap. Prescribing collation distinct advantage
  • Skills and Training: Must have the necessary skills and training to run spirometry, diabetes, smoking cessation, and travel clinics
  • Chronic Disease Management: Competent in managing chronic diseases such as diabetes, asthma, and hypertension
  • Health Promotion: Active in health promotion and patient education
  • Minor Surgery: Able to assist GPs with minor surgery
  • Complex Dressings: Experienced in complex dressings
  • IT Systems: Proficient in working with IT systems, including GP clinical systems such as EMIS and Office software

Main Duties:

  • Deliver care in all areas of General Practice Nursing, including travel and child vaccinations, family planning, and cytology
  • Assist GPs with minor surgery and other clinical procedures
  • Run clinics for spirometry, diabetes, smoking cessation, and travel health
  • Conduct health checks, medication reviews, and other preventive care services
  • Participate in health promotion and patient education initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

To successfully apply for this role, you must have one year of experience working in General Practice and be committed to professional development.
