Our client is a highly successful, well-established leader in the cosmetic and aesthetic medical sector. With a recognised brand and four high-performing sites, including three specialist skin clinics and a private hospital, the business is currently experiencing a surge in patient demand.

To support their next phase of growth, they are looking for a Director of Operations to take the reins of the day-to-day business. This is a pivotal, senior hire designed to bridge the gap between the clinical ground teams and the business owner.

This isn't an office-based 'strategy only' position. This is a high-visibility, hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in the field. You will be the heartbeat of the group's operations, spending at least one day per week at each site in London, Birmingham, and Manchester.

You will act as the primary point of escalation for clinical leads, managing everything from staff performance and HR to supplier relationships, technology maintenance, and patient experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Operational Excellence: Taking full ownership of daily operations across all four sites, refining workflows, and ensuring the group runs like clockwork.
  • People Leadership: Building credible, high-trust relationships with surgeons and medical staff while managing performance and wellbeing across a team of 30.
  • Commercial Management: Controlling procurement and supplier contracts, ensuring cost-efficiencies without compromising on clinical quality.
  • Technical Oversight: Managing service packages for theatre equipment and clinical technology to ensure zero downtime.
  • Performance Reporting: Working with the Sales Director to ensure operational capacity meets commercial demand and providing regular reporting to the owner.

Who You Are

We are looking for an exceptional operator who has 'been there and done it.' You should be someone with natural gravitas and the confidence to command the respect of senior medical professionals.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven senior operations experience within a healthcare, clinical, or hospital environment.
  • Direct experience managing multi-site operations (this is non-negotiable).
  • Strong people management skills with the emotional intelligence to lead both clinical and non-clinical teams.
  • A 'fixer' mindset: highly organized, decisively responsive, and commercially sharp.
  • Willingness to travel: A regular, physical presence across all sites is a core requirement (1 visit per site, per week).

Why Apply?

This is a rare chance to join a fast-growing business at a transformative moment. You'll have real autonomy to shape the operational foundations of a group with serious scaling ambitions. For a senior operator who wants to make a tangible impact from day one, this is the perfect challenge.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
