The post holder will provide leadership and clinical expertise within the Sperrin Suite and outreach Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) service. He/She will lead, develop and hold continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation, evaluation of programmes of care and the setting of standards of care based on best available evidence.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, clinical expertise, and ensuring the delivery of evidence-based and person-centred care.
- Ensure that agreed professional and managerial standards, objectives and statutory requirements are met.
- Responsible for the management of the area or equivalent sphere of nursing, including the deployment, supervision, teaching and development of students and other staff.
- Co-coordinating the involvement of the multidisciplinary team, where appropriate.
Skills and Qualifications
- Completed a recognised Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) course including competencies.
- Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the live NMC Register.
