Reporting to the Service Manager of Emergency Care, the post holder will manage the day-to-day administration, managerial responsibilities and governance, standards and performance of the administration teams based in Altnagelvin Emergency Department. He/she will be responsible for the safe storage and maintenance of current and historical notes. The post holder will have rostering responsibility for Emergency Department (ED) receptions including the Minor Injury Unit, ward clerk and backroom administrative teams.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise staff across the Emergency Department including ED main reception, MIU, ward clerks and ED administrative team.
- Create and manage shift rosters, adhering to the rostering policy ensuring 24/7 cover is provided for ED reception.
- Maintain records of all types of leave and absence in accordance with the WHSCT Absence Management policy.
- Support staff, lead with care and support staff wellbeing, utilising the support of occupational health, directorate support and other staff liaison services if required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Have a University Degree (or equivalent) in a management/business related subject, AND 1 years’ HR experience at Band 3 or above.
- Or 5 years’ admin/clerical experience, of which 3 years’ must be at Band 3 or above, including 1 years’ HR experience at Band 3 or above.
- Must have 1 years’ experience of staff supervision.
