The School Nurse will work as a member of the integrated public health nursing team and will work in partnership with the clinical lead, health visitors and other team members to profile and identify the health needs of children and families in the local area. The school nurse will lead in the delivery of the Healthy Child Healthy Future programme for school age children and will lead in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes to meet the health needs of school age children. The school nurse will be the named nurse for all schools in the local area and will work in partnership with education staff to ensure the health needs of school age children are met.
