The postholder carries continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and standards setting within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care.
  • Assess and prescribe programmes of specialized care, e.g. newborn babies with DDH.
  • Liaise with Multidisciplinary team in Regional Clinics/Musgrave Park Clinics and in the community to ensure a holistic approach.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse on Parts 1 of the NMC Register.
  • Five years post registration experience, two of which should be at a Band 5 or above working in Orthopaedics.
  • Experience of clinical examination and management of babies with DDH.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Encompass.
