Ward 2F (AAU) and SDEC are looking for a dynamic individual to join their senior nursing team. Interest is welcome from those who are registered on Part 1 of NMC Register (Adult). Ward 2F consists of a 22-bedded Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) and a 3-bedded ED Observation area. SDEC (same day emergency care) is a clinic-based area where patients can be referred to by the Emergency Department or directly from their GP via CCG. Ward 2F is co-located beside ED to allow easy access of admitted patients from ED, assisting the flow of patients through the ED department.

The ward is Consultant led by a dynamic team of Nurses and Medical staff whose aim is to achieve optimisation of patient’s conditions in 48 hours using Emergency ambulatory pathways. The ward is supported by a team of Allied health professionals who help achieve this goal. This has helped revolutionise the management of patients attending the Emergency Department by providing a purpose-built area for the assessment and review of patients using Emergency Ambulatory Care pathways.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to key performance indicators within Acute and Unscheduled Care service.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse on Part 1, (Adult) of the live NMC Register.
  • Provide evidence of past personal and professional development.
