The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

This post, although based in the acute sector, is a regional post and the post holder will act as a link providing an outreach service between hospital and community, province wide. He/she will provide a resource of specialist nursing skills, knowledge and expertise in the care and management of children with Burns and Plastics. The postholder will work closely with the multidisciplinary teams and other agencies and will initiate, develop and implement effective approaches to meet the needs of this client group and their families. The postholder will initiate and participate in audit, research and development of the Burns and Plastics service and is required to input into the National Burns database.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of a seamless service in collaboration with regional teams.
  • The postholder will be an advocate for children and their families, promoting child focused family-centered care and act as a resource for healthcare professionals involved with these patients.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Nurse on part 1, level 1 of NMC Register (Child Branch).
  • Burns and Plastic Surgery Nursing Course.
  • Provide evidence of post-registration training and development specific to Paediatric Burns and Plastic Surgery.
