Core Activities
- Ensure effective provision of Part 145 activities by meeting delivery targets and reporting any impact on Continuing Airworthiness.
- Ensure all Part 145 activities are appropriately documented and airworthiness records are maintained on relevant systems (IT / paper based).
- Comply with the Part 145 Exposition, its associated procedures and standards and any other Company procedures and standards.
- Apply Human Factors and Error Management philosophies to all Part 145 activities.
- Ensure Part 145 activities are compliant with the AM&S Governance and Assurance framework, supporting Process Confirmations and independent assurance audits.
- Support the implementation of identified improvements to overcome any non‑compliance and monitor effectiveness.
- Demonstrate an appropriate level of understanding and application of the relevant Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory framework.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure appropriate identification, recording and monitoring of tooling/equipment held in the tool store, including registration and allocation of a unique serial/identification number.
- Track and record tooling/equipment used, including statement of condition, labeling and appropriate documentation.
- Maintain tool kits locked when in storage and secure keys in the tool store.
- Check incoming deliveries against order/delivery documentation, verifying certification and maintenance/operation documentation as appropriate.
- Ensure timely inspection, servicing and calibration of appropriate tools and equipment, notifying Group Leaders/Aircraft Team Leaders of calibration results beyond acceptable limits.
- Remove surplus or redundant tooling/equipment from the maintenance environment, quarantine or dispose, updating the tracking system accordingly.
Requirements
- GCSE's or Equivalent, including English & Maths.
- Clean UK driving licence.
- Previous experience preferable and knowledge of tool control within a 145 organisation would be advantageous.
- General product knowledge of tooling types and competency within own technical / subject area and basic knowledge of those elements in other areas.
- Awareness of how the service integrates with maintenance users to achieve the levels of service defined by the tool store manager.
- Understanding of how to schedule and control maintenance and calibration of tools and test equipment.
- Awareness of personal limitations and skill boundaries.
