About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Test Lead to join a major strategic transformation programme focused on modernising customer-facing platforms and introducing enhanced subscription and eCommerce capabilities. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) approach, ensuring solutions are intuitive, fit for purpose, and ready for operational use. Working closely with business stakeholders, SMEs, product teams, and delivery partners, you will coordinate testing activities, manage defect resolution, and provide clear readiness assessments to support successful releases and go-live decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping high-quality digital experiences and supporting organisational change.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and governance of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities across the programme.
- Develop and maintain UAT strategies, test plans, entry and exit criteria, and acceptance frameworks.
- Create clear and comprehensive test scripts aligned to business requirements and processes.
- Coordinate and support business testers and SMEs to ensure effective execution of testing activities.
- Manage defect triage sessions, ensuring issues are prioritised, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Provide regular reporting on testing progress, defect trends, quality metrics, and operational readiness.
- Collaborate with product owners, delivery teams, and technical leads to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
- Identify usability issues, process impacts, and change considerations to support successful adoption of new capabilities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading UAT or large-scale business acceptance testing within complex programmes.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end testing practices and acceptance-criteria-based validation.
- Experience working with business stakeholders, SMEs, and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Zephyr, or similar.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Strong planning, organisational, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working within Agile, iterative, or hybrid delivery environments.
- A proactive, collaborative, and customer-focused approach with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
