We are looking for a Senior Vice President (SVP) People – Assurance to join BSI as a key member of the global People Leadership Team. This is a highly strategic leadership role, partnering closely with the Divisional President and senior leaders to shape and deliver the people strategy across our Assurance division. You will play a critical role in driving organisational effectiveness, leadership capability, workforce transformation, and cultural evolution within a complex, global, matrixed environment. The successful candidate will act as both a trusted advisor and strategic influencer, ensuring the People function delivers measurable business value while embedding BSI’s people operating model, governance, and leadership principles.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior business leaders to shape and deliver divisional people strategy aligned to business priorities
  • Lead and develop a team of People Business Partners, driving high-quality, commercially focused partnering
  • Support large-scale transformation, organisational design, workforce planning, and change initiatives
  • Provide strategic guidance on succession planning, restructures, capability development, and talent strategies
  • Build strong partnerships across People Operations and Centres of Expertise to deliver integrated people solutions
  • Use data, insight, and commercial understanding to influence senior stakeholders and support decision-making
  • Coach and support leaders to strengthen organisational health, leadership effectiveness, and culture
  • Ensure governance, risk, and people implications are considered in strategic business decisions
  • Champion and role model BSI’s culture, values, and behaviours across the organisation

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in senior People leadership roles within complex, global, matrixed organisations
  • Proven experience leading People Business Partners or equivalent senior HR leadership teams
  • Strong strategic business partnering capability with the ability to influence at executive level
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale change, transformation, or organisational initiatives
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance business performance and people outcomes
  • Expertise in organisational design, workforce planning, and leadership capability development
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
  • Ability to operate effectively through complexity and ambiguity
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capability
  • Degree qualified or equivalent professional experience
