p strong Job Title: /strong Standards Engagement Manager /p p strong Location: /strong Covent Garden, London /p p strong Work Model: /strong Hybrid /p p br /p p As a Standards Engagement Manager, you will play a key role in shaping standards that help protect people, improve products and services, and support trusted practices across a wide range of sectors. /p p br /p p This exciting and unique opportunity will enable you to build influential professional networks, manage varied and meaningful projects whilst contributing to work that has national and international impact. /p p br /p p strong About the role: /strong /p p In this diverse and dynamic role, you’ll manage national and international standards committees, drive strategic initiatives, and engage with industry leaders to influence best practices across industry. You’ll be right at the heart of how BSI operates as a National Standards Body, helping to set the guidelines for how others work across the globe. /p p br /p p Youll facilitate discussions, build consensus, oversee standards development projects, and help identify opportunities for new standards. /p p br /p p This is not a technical regulatory or auditing role, and previous standards experience is not required. Instead, were looking for someone with excellent stakeholder engagement, strong project management and facilitation skills with the ability to lead a diverse portfolio of standards committees and projects. /p p br /p p strong Responsibilities: /strong /p p br /p ul li Manage a portfolio of standards committees, projects, and programmes across safety, food and healthcare-related sectors. /li li Engage with key stakeholders including industry experts, government bodies, and trade associations. /li li Drive strategic development, identifying opportunities for new standards and expanding BSI’s influence in the sector. /li li Represent the UK internationally, providing expert input on European and global standardisation efforts. /li li Monitor sector developments and emerging trends to help shape future standards and priorities. /li li Ensure timely project delivery, overseeing workflows and collaborating with internal teams, including Content, Marketing, and Policy. /li li Provide expert guidance to committee chairs, participants, and stakeholders, facilitating discussions and building consensus. /li /ul p br /p p strong What we’re looking for: /strong /p p br /p ul li strong Strong communication and facilitation skills /strong – comfortable leading groups, hosting workshops, and representing the UK at panels or conferences. /li li strong Excellent interpersonal skills /strong – the ability to collaborate whilst building credible relationships with a wide range of professionals, drawing out contributions and managing differing opinions constructively. /li li strong Project management skills /strong – capable of juggling multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders with meticulous attention to detail. /li li strong Proactivity and autonomy /strong – you’ll take ownership of your own portfolio, so a self-starter attitude is key. /li li strong Agility and curiosity /strong – you’ll be adaptable to change whilst demonstrating a willingness to learn. /li li strong Sector knowledge - /strong sector knowledge of safety, food or healthcare can be beneficial. /li /ul p br /p p strong Our benefits: /strong /p p BSI offers a competitive total reward package, an independent and varied job in an international environment, flexible working hours, ongoing training and development with the inclusion of; 27-days annual leave, paid sick leave, bank holidays, health insurance, life insurance, pension plan with company contribution, income protection, paid maternity leave, paid paternity leave, paid parental leave, adoption leave, compassionate leave, paid bereavement leave, learning and development opportunities, and a wide range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your lifestyle. /p p br /p p strong Salary: /strong /p p The salary for this position is up to £42,400 per annum; actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to; candidate competencies, level of experience, education, location, divisional budget and internal peer compensation comparisons. /p p br /p p strong Other useful things to know: /strong /p p This position is based on a hybrid working model with the expectation of working from our offices in Covent Garden. /p p br /p p em *Please note: BSI are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this vacancy. /em /p p br /p p strong Together, we are building an organisation that is ready to meet the challenges ahead.
