About The Role

Our Finance Team at BSI is looking for a commercially driven Senior Finance Business Partner to support our Product Certification business unit, playing a key role in enabling strategic, operational, and financial success. This is a high-impact opportunity to work closely with Prod Cert Exec, driving performance, insight, and business transformation. Reporting to the Finance Director - Regulatory Services, you’ll act as the strategic finance lead for the Product Certification business. This role is central to enabling BSI’s growth ambitions through financial planning, performance reporting, scenario modelling, and actionable insight. You will work in partnership with senior stakeholders to influence decision-making and ensure effective cost and performance management.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Strategic Partnership: Build strong relationships with functional area leadership teams. Influence decisions to optimize operations, drive accountability, and manage costs. Provide strategic financial guidance and support.
  • Performance Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate management reporting. Lead functional reviews and present performance insights to senior leadership. Analyse and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs). Ensure accurate spend reporting and forecasting.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Develop and manage financial plans and forecasts for relevant functions. Ensure accuracy and robustness of financial models. Support leadership in presenting plans and forecasts.
  • Strategy Development: Support the development of long-range strategic plans (3-5 years). Provide metrics, analytics, and scenario modelling. Ensure alignment of functional cost models with group and divisional requirements.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Deep expertise in FP&A, business partnering, and financial modelling.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Advanced Excel skills; ERP system experience (preferably SAP); familiarity with tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical, proactive, and collaborative – with a passion for driving performance and continuous improvement.
