About The Role

We are inviting internal expressions of interest for a 12-month secondment into the role of Regulatory & Compliance Lead supporting Project Wyoming, BSI’s largest global transformation programme, centred on the implementation of SAP S/4HANA. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in shaping BSI’s future operating model. Working as part of the Wyoming functional team, you will ensure that end-to-end processes are designed to meet regulatory, legal, statutory, and financial control requirements, while supporting the transition to a more standardised, automated, and integrated business environment. You will work closely with the ERP Lead Business Architect, Group Financial Controller, Global Process Owners (GPOs), and divisional stakeholders, influencing how processes are designed, governed, and embedded across BSI globally. This secondment would suit someone looking to broaden their experience across finance, controls, regulatory frameworks, and transformation, while contributing to one of the most significant programmes in BSI’s history.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and define the regulatory frameworks across BSI’s divisions, ensuring critical requirements are understood and reflected in future processes.
  • Partner with GPOs and divisional stakeholders to ensure new and redesigned end-to-end processes are compliant with regulatory expectations.
  • Assess legal and statutory reporting requirements across BSI’s global legal entities, ensuring processes support local GAAP and other reporting obligations.
  • Work with Regional Controllers, Group Tax, and Finance teams to ensure required data and outputs are captured within the new system design.
  • Ensure appropriate transition plans are in place where system deployment spans reporting periods.
  • Review and align S/4HANA automated financial controls with BSI’s control framework, identifying and remediating any gaps.
  • Evaluate and ensure appropriate segregation of duties (SoD) and Delegation of Authority (DoA) controls are embedded within the future operating model.
  • Support the design of standardised, automated processes aligned to programme principles of standardisation, simplification, automation, optimisation, and integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams during design, testing, and deployment phases to ensure processes are fit for purpose and compliant.
  • Contribute to change impact assessments, training materials, and deployment communications.
  • Document key decisions, deviations, and control requirements to ensure strong governance and audit readiness.

Essential What we’re looking for

  • Qualified accountant with a broad finance background, including exposure to statutory reporting and financial controls.
  • Strong understanding of global regulatory, legal, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Experience working within a regulated or compliance-driven environment.
  • Ability to assess complex processes and distinguish between critical requirements and legacy practices.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to drive adoption of standard approaches.
  • Collaborative approach, with experience working across finance, operations, and cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to document and govern process decisions effectively.
  • Clear and structured communication skills, supporting change and transformation initiatives.

Highly desirable

  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, ideally SAP S/4HANA.
  • Understanding of standard ("fit-to-standard") ERP design principles.
  • Experience working across multiple finance streams (O2C, P2P, R2R) or within global process frameworks.
  • Exposure to financial controls design, SoD, or governance frameworks within a transformation environment.
