People Operations Specialist (FTC)
Location: Milton Keynes or London, UK
Type: 6‑month fixed‑term contract, full‑time
About The Role
We’re looking for a People Operations Specialist to join our People workstream, supporting the delivery of a strategic transformation programme that will have a significant impact across the organisation. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of People activities, collaborate with colleagues across the People Function and Transformation Team, and contribute directly to the successful delivery of organisational change. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, helping to coordinate key people‑related activities while developing valuable experience in programme delivery, change management, and people operations. Responsibilities
- Coordinate day‑to‑day activities across the People workstream, helping to ensure key deliverables and milestones are achieved.
- Maintain programme trackers, action logs and documentation to support effective delivery and governance.
- Gather, organise and validate employee data and documentation across multiple regions, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support employee change activities through the preparation of communications, documentation and employee‑facing materials.
- Manage and coordinate queries received through shared inboxes, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Use systems such as Workday and SharePoint to maintain accurate records, reporting and programme documentation.
- Collaborate with teams across Employee Relations, Payroll, Reward, Business Partnering and the wider Transformation team.
- Proactively identify risks, issues or delays and escalated appropriately to support successful programme delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and working to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Confidence working with data, documentation and business systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- A collaborative and proactive approach, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Experience using Workday, SharePoint or similar systems would be beneficial.
- Previous experience within HR, People Operations, administration, coordination or project support would be advantageous.
