Job Title: Product Certification Auditor (Client Manager) Reports to: Operations Manager in UK Location: UK - Home based (Remote Position) Purpose of the position: As the face of BSI, the role of the Auditor (Client Manager) is to work closely with BSI clients to help them improve their performance by assessing their systems and processes against BSI standards. At the end of each assessment the Client Manager compiles a business report and presents this to the client. Context / Dimensions: The scope of the position will typically cover clients within the region of the role holder however some wider UK delivery may be required. The role is home-based. At BSI, we are looking for a Built Environment Auditor to play a key role in maintaining product excellence. In this role, you’ll conduct product certification assessments across varied environments, ensuring compliance with BSI’s rigorous certification schemes and Kitemark standards. We are seeking professionals to deliver Building Information Modelling (BIM) related product assessment in accordance with ISO 19650 framework. Previous auditing experience is a plus, as well as expertise in quality management systems (ISO 9001). Experience with PAS 2080 (Carbon Management in Infrastructure) would also be a distinct benefit. Essential Responsibilities: * Prepare assessment reports and deliver findings to clients to ensure client understanding of the assessment decision and clear direction to particular items of corrective action where appropriate * Recommend the issue, re-issue or withdrawal of certificates, and report recommendations in accordance with BSI policy, procedures and prescribed time frame. * Maintain overall account responsibility and accountability for nominated accounts to ensure an effective partnership, whilst ensuring excellent service delivery and account growth. * Lead assessment teams as required ensuring that team members are adequately briefed so that quality of service is maintained and that effective working relationships are sustained both with Clients and within the team. * Provide accurate and prompt information to support services, working closely with them to ensure that client records are up to date and complete and that all other internal information requirements are met. * Coach colleagues as appropriate especially where those members are inexperienced assessors or unfamiliar with clients' business/technology and assist in the induction and coaching of new colleagues as requested * Plan/schedule workloads to make best use of own time and maximise revenue-earning activity. * Responsible for attending any required training and following all procedures/processes/policies within BSI for management of clients, management of a home based office, use of BSI equipment and communication both internal and external to the organization * Must be willing to go through extensive onboarding plan in order to reach Lead Assessor status through the prescribed program (based on the knowledge, skills and experience they have as well as the requirements of the appropriate schemes) * Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills, to include preparation for and taking standardized assessments related to knowledge and application of audit practices * Responsible for managing a portfolio of assigned clients based on location and a match of qualifications and client contract requirements * Responsible for contacting clients and scheduling the visits, planning the assessments, making travel plans, conducting the assessments and reporting and managing the results in an efficient manner. * Responsible for monitoring the client accounts to ensure that records, visit cycle, invoicing and other related matters are properly dealt with to assure client satisfaction is maintained * Responsible for leading teams, when necessary, and mentoring and coaching new or inexperienced colleagues as needed to meet the business needs * Any other assignments as needed to meet assessment delivery business objectives. Education/Qualifications: * A minimum of 4 years’ industry experience gained within BIM, Built Environment, Construction or similar industry sector * Expertise across ISO 19650, Building Information Modelling (BIM) Framework * Experience with PAS 2080 Carbon Management in Infrastructure would be desirable * Previous experience in 3rd party external auditing, against standards * Can travel frequently * Knowledge of quality management system (ISO 9001) auditing practices
