BSI's AI Business Unit (AI BU) is seeking an energetic, market-visible Sales/Business Development Manager with prior consultative, B2B sales experience. The AI BU is newly established; the professional will leverage BSI's reputation and global network to create sales opportunities in new markets, sell to existing and new clients, and expand market share across industries such as biometric, manufacturing, and more.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Proactively engage with existing and new clients.
- Identify new prospects and grow the client base.
- Ensure timely delivery in line with client expectations.
- Account and opportunity management to develop a solid pipeline.
- Accurately record sales and order information in the CRM.
- Remain up to date with developments in AI Acts, standards industry and explain the standards development process and upcoming AI technical/quality-management standards (e.g., 42001, 42006) to clients.
- Effectively convey complex ideas and business proposals, including giving presentations.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in the regulatory and/or certification industry.
- Business-level English language skills, written and oral.
- Substantial experience in a regulated industry with professional services.
- Track record of successful consultative sales accomplishments (local, regional, national, global account growth and development).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build good relationships at executive level.
- Proven sales track record in taking new products into new markets.
- Demonstrated management of complex client requirements.
- Knowledge of upcoming AI regulations and related guidance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation design and delivery.
