We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Company Secretarial professional to join BSI and support the Company Secretary in delivering high-quality governance and company secretarial services across the global BSI Group. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with several years of UK company secretarial or governance experience who is looking to further develop their career within a complex international organisation. The role offers exposure to UK and overseas subsidiaries, Board and Committee support, and global governance activities. The position is connected to our Central London office and requires attendance in the office at least two days per week, including key Board and Committee meeting days.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of company secretarial services across BSI and the wider BSI Group
  • Assist in managing corporate governance responsibilities to a standard consistent with a UK listed company environment
  • Prepare and organise Board and Committee papers, including distribution through Diligent Boards
  • Manage the company secretarial responsibilities for over 20 UK subsidiary companies
  • Support governance and regulatory activities for more than 40 overseas subsidiaries and branch operations
  • Assist with maintaining the Group’s corporate database within Diligent Entities
  • Support processes relating to corporate authorisations, delegations of authority, notarisation, and legalisation activities
  • Liaise with overseas stakeholders and advisers to support local governance compliance requirements
  • Contribute to ongoing initiatives focused on improving subsidiary company governance and management processes

To be successful in this role you will have

  • Several years of UK company secretarial or corporate governance experience
  • Experience supporting overseas entities and working with external professional advisers
  • Familiarity with Board paper systems, company secretarial software, and Microsoft Office products
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
  • Be studying towards, or already qualified through, the Chartered Governance Institute (CGI)
