BSI is seeking a "BIM Auditor" who plays a crucial role in maintaining product excellence. This position involves conducting product certification audits in diverse environments and verifying compliance with BSI's rigorous certification schemes and Kitemark standards. We are looking for professionals who can conduct BIM-related audits based on the ISO 19650 framework.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Prepare assessment reports and deliver findings to clients to ensure understanding of the assessment decision and provide clear direction for corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Recommend the issue, re-issue or withdrawal of certificates, and report recommendations in accordance with BSI policy, procedures and prescribed time frame.
  • Maintain overall account responsibility and accountability for nominated accounts to ensure effective partnership, excellent service delivery, and account growth.
  • Lead assessment teams as required, ensuring that team members are adequately briefed to maintain quality of service and effective working relationships.
  • Provide accurate and prompt information to support services, ensuring client records are up to date and complete.
  • Coach colleagues, especially inexperienced assessors, and assist in the induction and coaching of new colleagues as requested.
  • Plan/schedule workloads to maximise revenue-earning activity.
  • Attend required training and follow all procedures/processes/policies within BSI.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills related to audit practices.
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned clients based on location and qualifications.
  • Contact clients, schedule visits, plan assessments, conduct assessments, and manage results efficiently.
  • Monitor client accounts to ensure records, visit cycles, invoicing, and related matters are properly managed.
  • Lead teams and mentor new or inexperienced colleagues as needed.
  • Complete any other assignments to meet assessment delivery business objectives.

Education/Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years’ industry experience in BIM, Built Environment, Construction or similar sectors.
  • Expertise in ISO 19650 and Building Information Modelling (BIM) Framework.
  • Experience with PAS 2080 Carbon Management in Infrastructure is desirable.
  • Previous experience in product assessment or 3rd party external auditing against standards.
  • Knowledge of quality management system (ISO 9001) auditing practices.
  • Must be willing to travel frequently.
