About the role: We are looking for an experienced EMEA Billing Manager to lead our regional Billing function within Finance Business Services. This is a key leadership role accountable for the accurate, timely and compliant generation of invoices and credit notes across an assigned EMEA portfolio. You will play a critical part in protecting revenue, supporting cash flow, reducing billing defects and enhancing client experience through strong governance and quality control. Reporting to the OTC Tower Lead, you will lead and develop EMEA Billing Team Leaders, drive KPI performance, and partner closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, Credit & Collections and Master Data to ensure billing excellence across the region. This role combines operational leadership, financial control, stakeholder partnering and continuous improvement within a global OTC structure.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop EMEA Billing Team Leaders, ensuring strong performance, engagement and delivery against KPIs
  • Own billing accuracy, timeliness and credit note governance across the EMEA portfolio
  • Drive right-first-time billing, defect reduction and revenue protection initiatives
  • Monitor and improve key metrics including SLA performance, backlog, credit notes, billing queries and cycle time
  • Ensure invoices and credit notes comply with contracts, pricing agreements and VAT/tax regulations
  • Oversee complex billing models including consolidated, milestone, recurring and multi-entity billing
  • Act as senior escalation point for complex or high-risk billing disputes
  • Partner with Credit & Collections to support faster cash collection and dispute prevention
  • Support month-end and year-end activities including billing cut-offs, accrual inputs and revenue substantiation
  • Maintain strong internal controls, audit readiness and documentation standards
  • Contribute to ERP and OTC transformation initiatives as the EMEA Billing SME
  • Drive standardisation, automation and continuous improvement across billing processes

To Be Successful in the Role, You Will Have:

  • Strong knowledge of contract-to-billing translation, VAT/GST and local tax compliance
  • Experience managing complex billing across multiple currencies and regions
  • Proven track record of delivering KPIs and driving measurable process improvements
  • Experience leading and developing teams, including performance management
  • Experience working closely with Sales, Operations, Finance and other cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and implement sustainable fixes
  • Good Excel capability (including pivots and formulas)
  • Working knowledge of financial systems (SAP experience desirable)
