The Role

As our Front of House & Campus Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, students, and staff, supporting the efficient running of our campus. Your role will encompass a variety of administrative and reception duties to maintain a professional and organised environment that reflects our commitment to educational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact, welcoming visitors, students, staff, and external partners with a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage telephone enquiries, redirect calls appropriately, and take detailed messages.
  • Coordinate and schedule campus bookings, meetings, and events, ensuring efficient use of facilities.
  • Maintain reception area and communal spaces to a high standard of presentation and organisation.
  • Provide general administrative support to academic and operational teams including filing, data entry, and document preparation.
  • Assist with student attendance monitoring and record keeping in line with organisational policies.
  • Support the onboarding process for new staff and students by providing necessary information and assistance.
  • Liaise with maintenance, security, and cleaning contractors to report and resolve campus issues promptly.
  • Maintain and update the campus contact lists, notices, and internal communications.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and safeguarding procedures within the campus environment.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who is approachable, organised, and proactive, with excellent communication skills and a passion for education. To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a reception, administrative, or customer-facing role, preferably within an education or teaching environment.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic IT skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality principles.
  • A positive, friendly attitude with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
