This is a front-line, pharmacy-led solutions role designed to ensure our technology, buying platforms, and operational tools genuinely work for real dispensaries. You will act as the voice of the pharmacy inside B&S β translating day-to-day dispensary realities (workflow pressure, margin constraints, compliance risk, stock volatility) into practical, adoptable technology solutions. This role sits at the intersection of pharmacy operations, product development, and change adoption. It is not a pure IT role β lived pharmacy experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Pharmacy-Led Product & Platform Design
- Work closely with Product, IT, Commercial, and Operations teams to shape tools used by 5,000+ UK pharmacies.
- Provide real-world pharmacy insight into:
- Buying and pricing systems
- Stock availability and shortages
- Margin protection and substitutions
- Prescription workflow efficiency
- Challenge assumptions and ensure solutions reflect actual dispensary behaviour, not theoretical processes.
- Act as a subject-matter expert (SME) during:
- System testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Pilot rollouts with selected pharmacies
- Support pharmacy onboarding to new tools and platform upgrades.
- Training materials
- Quick-reference guides
- FAQs rooted in pharmacy language (not tech jargon)
- Build trust with pharmacies by demonstrating βwe understand how you actually workβ.
- Capture recurring pharmacy pain points and trends.
- Feed insights into:
- Product roadmaps
- Service improvement initiatives
