We are a leading pharmaceutical company specialising in the supply of unlicensed medicines ('specials') to healthcare providers across the UK. Our mission is to ensure that patients have timely and compliant access to medicines where no licensed alternatives exist, improving outcomes and supporting healthcare professionals in their daily practice.
About the Role
- Deliver profit and sales targets within assigned territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital pharmacists, procurement teams, clinicians, and regulatory personnel.
- Promote awareness of the company's unlicensed medicines portfolio while ensuring accurate and ethical communication in line with MHRA and regulatory guidelines.
- Manage the entire sales process from enquiry to delivery, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for hospital accounts, providing tailored solutions and high-quality customer service.
- Provide customer insights and market intelligence to support business development and sourcing activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Regulatory, Quality, Logistics, Medical, Finance, Procurement) to ensure seamless execution of sales transactions.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to raise company profile and build relationships.
- Identify new opportunities, including spot buys and tender activities, to support business growth.
- Monitor and analyse sales performance against targets and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Prepare and submit accurate, timely quotations and follow up with customers to drive closure.
- Forecast upcoming sales and provide reports to management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years' Key Account Management experience in a pharmaceutical role in the NHS.
- Has a background in working with procurement in the Hospital space.
- Has a working understanding of the UK Hospital sector and regulatory directives for ULMs.
- You should have a UK Driving license.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.

- Minimum 2–3 years of sales or key account management experience in the pharmaceutical sector, ideally within NHS hospital accounts.
- Experience working with procurement processes in the hospital setting.
- Strong understanding of the UK hospital sector and regulatory framework for unlicensed medicines.

- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Full UK Driving License (field-based role).
