Key Responsibilities
- Pharmacy‑Led Product & Platform Design: Work closely with Product, IT, Commercial, and Operations teams to shape tools used by 5,000+ UK pharmacies. Provide real‑world pharmacy insight into buying and pricing systems, stock availability and shortage, margin protection and substitution, prescription workflow efficiency, challenge assumptions and ensure solutions reflect actual dispensary behaviour, not theoretical processes.
- User Testing & Continuous Improvement: Act as a subject‑matter expert (SME) during system testing, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), pilot rollouts with selected pharmacies. Identify friction points early and propose practical workarounds or design changes. Convert qualitative pharmacy feedback into clear, actionable requirements for technical teams.
- Pharmacy Engagement & Adoption: Support pharmacy onboarding to new tools and platform upgrades. Help develop training materials, quick‑reference guides, and FAQs rooted in pharmacy language (not tech jargon). Build trust with pharmacies by demonstrating “we understand how you actually work.”
- Insight, Reporting & Decision Support: Capture recurring pharmacy pain points and trends. Feed insights into product roadmaps, commercial strategy, and service improvement initiatives. Support senior stakeholders with evidence‑based recommendations.
Essential: Hands‑on pharmacy experience (e.g. dispenser, ACT, pharmacy team member). Strong understanding of pharmacy buying systems, stock control and shortages, generics vs parallel imports, margin pressures and reimbursement realities. Confident communicator able to translate pharmacy insight into structured input for product and tech teams.
Highly Desirable: Exposure to pharmacy systems (PMR, buying portals, wholesaler platforms), change initiatives or system rollouts. Comfortable working cross‑functionally with IT/Product, commercial, operations. Curious, adaptable, and tech‑positive mindset.
