Permanent position, 24 hours per week in Lisburn Sure Start, with a salary of £18,233.28 per annum.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build trusting, respectful relationships with parents/carers and children aged 0-3.
- Support the Family Work Coordinator in carrying out initial registration visits with families, conducting an assessment of need to provide appropriate intervention and services.
- Assist in allocating referrals to the Family/Child Health Team.
- Manage a caseload offering home visiting and outreach support to families.
- Provide parenting support and practical advice on child development, positive behaviour, routines, etc.
- Plan and deliver group programmes such as stay and play, parenting programmes, and health promotion workshops.
- Support families in accessing relevant services including early education, health, and specialist support.
- Signpost families to appropriate Sure Start services and programmes.
- Monitor children's development and implement collaborative decision-making model conversations where appropriate.
- Identify any developmental delays or safeguarding concerns and take appropriate action in line with policies and procedures.
- Work closely with health visitors, social workers, speech and language therapists, and other professionals.
Essential Criteria:
- Level 3 or working towards Level 5 in Child Care Learning and Development.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience of working with children or families.
- 5 GCSEs at grade C and above including English Language or equivalent.
- Clean driving licence and access to transport. Successful candidates will be required to have business insurance for their job role.
