The Firm: A top 20 accountancy firm with Newcastle city centre offices is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join their tax compliance team. The Role: Joining the tax compliance team as an Assistant Manager you will be responsible for the following:

  • Compliance focused work ensuring procedures processes are followed taking account of institute and HMRC guidance.
  • Ensuring department billing and recovery targets are met.
  • Staff management and development including appraisals and monitoring staff performance.
  • Training and mentoring junior staff.
  • Give exceptional client service and be responsible for maintaining regular contact with client team.

Experience required:

  • Significant corporate tax experience gained within the professional services environment.
  • Demonstrable technical compliance skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing people.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CA) and/or tax advisor (CTA) or international equivalent.
