A large accountancy firm in Newcastle with an exciting journey of growth ahead of them are looking to welcome an Accounts Assistant (with a background from practice) to their accounting and advisory team to support with a growing client base.

As part of the advisory services you will work alongside a team of accountants both part and fully qualified, preparing statutory financial statements for small limited companies, including those more complex. You will also be responsible for the preparation of sole trader and partnership year end accounts, working closely with clients to gather information, answer questions, and ensure their accounts are submitted on time. Once the accounts have been reviewed by a Manager /Director, you will need to make any necessary amends. To undertake the role effectively you get to spend time not only in the office, but also at clients site (locally).

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant with a minimum of three years experience working in an accounting practice, holding a strong level of technical experience. Experienced in Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks. Good communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues. A proactive and diligent approach, ensuring the highest standards of service. Adaptable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
